The
Thai pepper is a thin, long, pointed chile that is
thin-fleshed with lots of seeds. It is easily dried
and has a heat that lingers on the palate. The Thai
pepper is used primarily in many Southeast Asian dishes.
For
such a small chile, it packs an incredibly fiery punch.
Thai chiles range in color from red to green when
fully mature. They are often used in Asian curries.
Thai peppers should be used sparingly. |
|
Think
of Thai peppers as little firecrackers!
They are ery hot with a fast, clear and lasting
explosion of heat! They are also a bit acidic.
Use with a light hand. The first heat wave
is not the last - it lingers. |
