Cinnamon
is native to Sri Lanka and is now grown in most hot, wet tropical regions of the
world. Because cinnamon has a very fragrant, slightly sweet but peppery
flavor it can be used to flavor many dishes, both sweet and savory. |

dried in rolled sticks or quills, quillings, or ground. Store in a very dark,
cool and dry place. Sticks will keep for a long time. Ground cinnamon
should be bought in very small quantities as its flavor fades within 3 to 6 months.
