Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka and is now grown in most hot, wet tropical regions of the world.

Because cinnamon has a very fragrant, slightly sweet but peppery flavor it can be used to flavor many dishes, both sweet and savory.



Available dried in rolled sticks or quills, quillings, or ground. Store in a very dark, cool and dry place.

Sticks will keep for a long time. Ground cinnamon should be bought in very small quantities as its flavor fades within 3 to 6 months.
