Texas Style Turkey Chili
Serve with baked tortilla chips or low fat cornbread.
2 1/2 pounds 97% low fat ground turkey
Brown ground turkey in a large skillet or dutch oven. Add onions and poblano pepper. Cook for 2 minutes more, stirring constantly.
Add diced tomatoes with juice, 1 can water and add from the kit: full package of the chili powder seasoning packet, 2 scant teaspoons salt, 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more if you like it hotter). Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Whisk 1 heaping teaspoon masa flour in 1/4 cup water and add to chili to thicken. Cook for 5 more minutes. Serve with baked tortilla chips or low fat cornbread.
COOK'S NOTE: You can add a can of beans if you like your chili with beans.
