Cinnamon Apples
Fantastic on frozen yogurt or pancakes!

Servings: 8

• 10 apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 cup brown sugar (can also use half sugar and half artificial sweetner)
• 2 teaspoons lemon juice (optional)
• Dash of salt
• Dash of nutmeg

Place cut and peeled apples in a mixing bowl and gently mix all the ingredients together.
Put apples in a non-stick pan, and cook covered for 45 minutes at 375 degrees.
Stir at least once every 15 minutes.

Once they are soft, cook for another few minutes to thicken the cinnamon sauce.
I like to put everything into my baking dish and then mix it since there is less to clean up.

Can also be cooked in a slow cooker for 4 hours on high.

Serve with fat free whipped topping or ice cream. Also good on oatmeal or pancakes.
