Stuffed Dried Figs
If you like things hot - use seeded jalapeno peppers.

Serves 24 (2 halves per serving)

24 dried figs
1 (3-oz.) package light softened cream cheese
2 teaspoons powdered sugar
2 teaspoons orange liqueur
48 roasted, salted almonds

Cut dried figs in half lengthwise. Stir together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and orange liqueur; fill each fig half evenly with cream cheese mixture and 1 roasted, salted almond. Press nuts into filling to secure.

*You can make this recipe ahead of time and store the figs in the refrigerator. Before serving, let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Recipe is also good with dates instead of figs.
